Fractional CTO & Engineering Leadership
I'm a working CTO at a B2B SaaS company. Next to that, I take on a small number of freelance engagements: part-time technical leadership for teams that need a CTO's judgment but can't justify a full-time hire yet.

How I Can Help
Three ways to work together. They range from a few hours of advice to running your engineering team part-time.
I own your tech decisions on a part-time basis. Roadmap, architecture, hiring, and the conversations with vendors and partners. You get someone who has made these calls before and lives with the consequences.
I run your dev team, interim or ongoing. Hiring, coaching, and the small routines that keep a team shipping: async updates, retros, clear handovers. I've led a fully remote team for years, so remote is my default, not a workaround.
You tell me what feels slow or fragile. I spend a few days in your codebase and your processes, then you get a short, ordered list of what to fix first. Works for architecture, delivery process, or AI tooling.
What That Looks Like in Practice
I'm CTO at a B2B SaaS company. Here is the short version of what I've built there:
From Prototype to Production
Redesigned the software architecture, led the big refactors, and built out CI/CD with automated tests, logging, and monitoring. The product went from prototype to something you can run a business on.
Built a Remote Team
Hired senior frontend and backend engineers and coach them week to week. The team is 100% remote, held together by async daily write-ups and regular offsites.
Reliability and Operations
Added Sentry and Grafana, set up multi-stage backups, migrated hundreds of customers to a new billing model, and moved planning and support onto Linear.
AI in Daily Work
Brought Claude Code and ChatGPT into engineering and into other departments. Not as an experiment on the side, but as part of how the team works every day.

Who This Is For
Most engagements are one or two days a week, remote, on a monthly retainer. We can scale up or down as things change.
You have paying customers but no technical leadership. Decisions pile up, the prototype is starting to hurt, and a full-time CTO hire doesn't make sense yet.
Your engineering lead just left, or the team grew past its structure. I keep things moving in the meantime and help you find and onboard the permanent person.
You're a founder or a new engineering manager and want a second opinion on architecture, hiring, process, or AI adoption. On demand, no fixed hours.
Let's Talk
Tell me where your team is stuck in a free 30-minute call. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and you've lost half an hour.
